Job summary

Wellington Aboriginal Corporation Health Service (WACHS) in NSW is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership, strengthen governance, and ensure financial sustainability while delivering high-quality, culturally safe healthcare across its three sites.

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will lead a dispersed team of around 70 staff, build strong relationships with Aboriginal communities and government partners, and drive performance and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior executive experience, preferably within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation.
• Deep understanding of health challenges facing Aboriginal communities and culturally safe service delivery.
• Track record in strategic planning, financial governance, risk management and systems development.
• Experience leading senior teams and workforce development.
• Ability to build partnerships with communities, government agencies and funders.
