Job summary

WorkPac is currently recruiting for a Production Excavator Operator at a coal mine near Moranbah, Queensland. You will safely operate Hitachi (5600) and Liebherr (996) Production Excavators to load CAT 793 Dump Trucks, contributing to efficient mine production.

Shifts are 12.5 hours on a Wed-Tue roster (7/7), with options for FIFO from Brisbane/Cairns, DIDO or residential candidates in Moranbah. You will need prior coal mining experience and a valid Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical or

Qualifications

• Previous coal mining experience operating Production Excavators (5600 & 996) loading CAT 793 or similar Dump Trucks in a production setting.
• Current Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical within last 2 years or willingness to attain.
• SSE signed skills list, Current Drivers Licence & right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Hitachi (5600) & Liebherr (996) Production Excavators loading CAT 793 Dump Trucks.
• Work on a 12.5 hour shift roster (Wednesday to Tuesday) with day and night rotations.
• Perform tasks in Moranbah mine site with FIFO, DIDO or residential arrangements as applicable.

Job description

Our client is Australia's largest producer and supplier of seaborne metallurgical coal. They operate seven Bowen Basin mine sites with roles available across the operations with local, DIDO and FIFO opportunities available.

What you will be Doing

You will be working as a Production Excavator Operator within the Prestrip Department on a coal mine near Moranbah. You will be required to safety operate Hitachi (5600) & Liebherr (996) Production Excavators loading CAT 793 Dump Trucks. You will be working 12.5 hour shifts on a Wednesday to Tuesday (7/7) roster rotating day and night shift roster. These roles are open to FIFO (Brisbane & Cairns), DIDO and residential (Moranbah) candidates.

What you will need

Previous coal mining experience operating Production Excavators (5600 & 996) loading CAT 793 or similar Dump Trucks within a production setting.

You will need to have obtained a Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical within last 2 years or be willing to attain this.
