Job summary

WorkPac is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join a civil construction team working across projects in the Adelaide Metro area. This role offers ongoing work with competitive pay and penalties, starting immediately.

The ideal candidate will operate 5T and 20T excavators in fast-paced civil environments and perform trenching, bulk earthworks and final trims while maintaining safety standards and working with underground services.

Qualifications

• Experience operating 5T and 20T excavators.
• Current Industry White Card.
• Current Excavator (LE) Licence/Ticket.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operating 5T and 20T excavators on civil construction projects.
• Performing excavation, trenching, bulk earthworks and final trim where required.
• Working around underground services and within live construction environments.
• Conducting daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Assisting with general civil labouring duties when required.
• Working collaboratively with site supervisors and ground crews to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join a well-established civil construction team working across projects throughout the Adelaide Metro area. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-focused operator looking for ongoing work with competitive pay and the chance to work across a variety of civil projects.

The successful candidate will have experience operating both 5T and 20T excavators and be confident working in fast-paced civil construction environments.

What You Will Be Doing

• Operating 5T and 20T excavators on civil construction projects.
• Performing excavation, trenching, bulk earthworks and final trim where required.
• Working around underground services and within live construction environments.
• Conducting daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Assisting with general civil labouring duties when required.

What You Will Need

• Previous experience operating 5T and 20T excavators.
• Current Industry White Card.
• Current Excavator (LE) Licence/Ticket.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Highly Regarded

• Multi-skilled plant operating experience.
• HR/HC Truck Licence.
• Grader operating experience.
• Skid Steer ticket and operating experience.
