Job summary

Mackay Regional Council is seeking an experienced Events Supervisor to lead from the front in delivering a diverse range of events at MECC and BB Print Stadium. You will supervise staff, manage front-of-house operations and ensure a high standard of presentation and guest service.

You will coordinate volunteers, rosters and security, while handling event administration and client relations to ensure seamless experiences for attendees.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising and leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in functions and events and customer service supervision, preferably within an entertainment environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and perform well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide duty management for conferences, concerts, exhibitions, dinners, shows and other events across MECC, BB Print Stadium and offsite locations.
• Oversee front-of-house operations and assist with roster development.
• Complete event administration including duty manager reports and incident reporting.
