Job summary

The University of Western Australia is seeking an Events Officer to design and deliver experiences that showcase UWA and strengthen engagement with students and the wider community. This full-time, ongoing role works across a diverse events portfolio, providing expert guidance, coordinating multiple workstreams and ensuring activities align with governance, branding and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex projects or events involving multiple stakeholders, workstreams and deadlines.
• Strong consultation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise, influence and build trusted relationships.
• Highly developed planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, show initiative and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• As an Events Officer, you will work with stakeholders across the University to design and deliver meaningful experiences that advance UWA's strategic objectives and strengthen engagement with key audiences.
• Working across a diverse portfolio of events, you will act as a trusted advisor, helping stakeholders shape ideas, identify opportunities and translate objectives into impactful event experiences.
• Plan and deliver events from concept through evaluation, coordinating multiple workstreams within budget.
