Job summary

Club Menangle is seeking an experienced Functions & Events Manager to lead events and functions across our venues. You will build and mentor a capable team, coordinate event delivery with staff and stakeholders, and drive sales and budgeting efforts to achieve targets.

You will collaborate with the Marketing team to market spaces, develop packages, and cultivate strong relationships with corporate clients and the local business community.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a Functions Manager.
• 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong business acumen and customer service orientation.
• Ability to lead and motivate a large team.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Passion for events and creating memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and train a capable team to deliver high-quality, safe food and beverage services.
• Oversee and coordinate event delivery, liaising with stakeholders and staff.
• Manage function and event sales, budget forecasting, inquiry conversion, and lead generation.
• Work closely with the Marketing team to implement strategies to achieve budget targets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and customers.
• Actively market event spaces to corporate contacts and engage in local business development.
• Create and cost function packages and products in collaboration with the GM of Hospitality.
• Supervise floor staff to ensure compliance with duties and procedures.
• Ensure setup staff complete all function setup requirements.
