Job summary

The Glen Hotel Pty in Inverell is seeking a Functions & Catering Attendant to support both functions and catering operations. This hands-on role includes setting up, serving, and packing down spaces, assisting with food presentation, and delivering excellent customer care with the kitchen and bar teams.

The ideal candidate has hospitality or catering experience, strong customer service and communication skills, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and events.

Qualifications

• Hospitality, functions or catering experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• RSA certification required or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare function rooms, equipment, and event spaces
• Provide food and beverage service during functions and catered events
• Assist with catering preparation, presentation, and replenishment of food service areas
• Deliver professional and friendly customer service to members and guests
• Clear and reset function areas during and after events
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of function and catering areas
• Process orders through POS systems accurately
• Assist with customer enquiries and provide product recommendations
• Assist in clearing of floor each shift
• Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and events staff to ensure smooth event delivery
