Job summary

BBR Group is seeking a Production Manager / Event Producer to lead the operational delivery of Ghost in The Rocks 2026 in Sydney. This permanent role owns logistics, supplier management, planning, compliance, and financial tracking for a four-night festival across October 29 - November 1 at The Rocks.

You will work with our Head of Production, manage contractors, and participate in the operational decision-making loop, with planning for other activations throughout the year.

Qualifications

  • Five+ years' experience delivering large public events (festivals, concerts, or similar scale).
  • Experience with event logistics and site management.
  • Experience with supplier negotiation and contract management.
  • Experience with health and safety compliance in public events.
  • Budget management and financial reporting experience.
  • Vendor and contractor coordination experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365; Asana preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Logistics: manage bump in/out and day-of delivery.
  • Supplier management: negotiate contracts, manage timelines, resolve issues.
  • Planning: build schedules, risk mitigation, contingency planning, and run-of-show details.
  • Compliance: safety, accessibility, and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial tracking: cost control and reporting.

Event Producer / Production Manager • The Rocks, NSW, AU

We're looking for a Production Manager / Event Producer to work on the operational delivery of Ghost in The Rocks 2026, a four-night festival across October 29 - November 1 at The Rocks, Sydney. This is a permanent Sydney-based role starting October 6, 2026. You'll own logistics, supplier management, planning, compliance, and financial tracking. This is a hands-on role. You'll work alongside our Head of Production, manage contractors and sit in the operational decision-making loop. You'll also support planning for our other activations as the year progresses.

Key responsibilities
  • Logistics: bump in - out and day-of delivery
  • Supplier management: negotiating contracts, managing timelines, solving problems as they surface
  • Planning: build schedules, risk mitigation, contingency planning, and detailed run-of-show
  • Compliance: safety, accessible access, and regulatory requirements
  • Financial tracking: Cost control, and reporting
About you
  • At least five years' experience delivering large public events (festivals, concerts, outdoor activations, or similar scale)
  • Strong experience with event logistics and site management
  • Strong experience with supplier negotiation and contract management
  • Strong experience with health and safety compliance in public events
  • Strong experience with budget management and financial reporting
  • Strong experience with vendor and contractor coordination
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and project management tools (Asana experience preferred but trainable)
  • Comfortable with complexity, move fast, and don't panic when something breaks at 4pm
  • Organised but flexible with a can do attitude
  • Communicate clearly across teams
