Job summary

The University of Tasmania is seeking a Hobart-based Event Support Officer to assist in delivering major university events. The role covers setup, on-site delivery, inventory management, and coordination of pop-up shops and online fulfilment, supporting the Brand Team to create memorable student experiences.

You will travel between campuses and may work evenings/weekends. Prioritise safety, risk assessments, and smooth event execution in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating event logistics including scheduling and resources.
• Ability to operate basic AV equipment and troubleshoot simple issues.
• Knowledge of risk assessments and Work Health and Safety (WHS) basics.
• Experience managing storerooms and inventory for events.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, pack-down and on-site delivery of university events across Tasmania.
• Maintain storerooms and track equipment, signage and merchandise.
• Coordinate merchandise pop-ups and online store fulfilment.
• Provide admin support for event planning, including documentation like risk assessments.
• Handle logistics: online ticketing, scheduling, travel, and basic invoicing.
• Support efficient planning and delivery of University events.
