Job summary

Challenger Services Group is seeking Overnight Kitchen Cleaners to join its hospitality team at a luxury hotel in Sydney CBD. You’ll be responsible for keeping commercial kitchens clean, sanitised and ready for daily food preparation while working overnight.

Ideal candidates have commercial or hospitality cleaning experience, understand food safety standards and can work independently or with a team. A valid Police Check is mandatory, and shifts run overnight from 12:00am to 4:00am.

Qualifications

• Has previous commercial cleaning, hospitality cleaning, or kitchen cleaning experience.
• Understands food safety and hygiene standards.
• Has experience using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
• Able to follow detailed work instructions and cleaning schedules.
• Takes pride in delivering high-quality cleaning results.
• Works effectively both independently and within a team.
• Is reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
• Holds a valid Police Check or is willing to obtain one (Mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Completing detailed cleaning and sanitisation of commercial kitchen areas.
• Following a Scope of Works to complete daily and periodic cleaning tasks.
• Cleaning floors, walls, benches, food preparation areas, equipment exteriors, and storage spaces.
• Ensuring kitchen areas meet food safety and hygiene standards.
• Safely handling and using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Working collaboratively with team members to complete cleaning schedules efficiently.
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or safety concerns.
