Job summary

Rydges Resort Hunter Valley is seeking enthusiastic part-time Food & Beverage Attendants to join the Gather dinner service team. You’ll deliver attentive service in a private dining setting, take orders, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for guests during dinner service.

Ideal candidates have restaurant experience, a passion for local wine and food, and the ability to stand for long periods while maintaining professional presentation.

Qualifications

• Deliver exceptional customer service to restaurant guests.
• Previous experience in a restaurant environment.
• Previous experience with table waiting / section waiting is essential.
• Has a friendly, positive, and professional approach.
• Enjoys working in a fast paced environment.
• A genuine passion for local food and wine.
• Foundational wine knowledge.
• Proven knowledge of food and beverage items, including wine and cocktails (training will be provided).
• Impeccable presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A strong commitment to delivering refined, attentive service with poise and professionalism.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Serve meals and beverages in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming dining environment.
• Assist with restaurant setup, service, and pack-down.
• Handle guest enquiries and resolve issues with a positive attitude.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house team members.
• Follow food safety, responsible service of alcohol, and workplace health and safety requirements.
• RSA certification and the right to work in Australia.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
• Is available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
