Qualifications

• Fully qualified automotive mechanic with cert III or equivalent.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with modern vehicle systems; EV experience is a plus but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and proactive attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on BYD vehicles per manufacturer guidelines.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out inspections, road tests and fault finding.
• Complete service documentation and ensure records are accurate.
• Ensure work meets high safety and quality standards.
• Stay up-to-date with BYD service procedures and EV technology (training provided).
• Collaborate with service advisors and workshop staff for timely service delivery.
• Maintain a clean, organized and compliant workshop.
