Job summary

LEAP NSW PTY LTD is seeking a Dealership Accountant to join their Alexandria, NSW office. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will provide high-quality accounting and reporting support to the dealer group's operations as part of a collaborative finance team.

You will prepare monthly financial statements, support the close process, manage payables and receivables, and contribute to pricing, budgeting, and ad-hoc analyses.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• Proven experience (1-3 years) in dealer group or automotive industry accounting.
• Strong technical accounting skills with financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports and statements for the dealer group, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis.
• Support the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial data.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoicing and customer billing, as well as contract verification, on-road costs, and aftermarket details.
• Manage service-related receivables and payables, covering mechanical, warranty, and parts operations.
• Assist with product pricing, budgets, forecasts, and other ad-hoc financial analysis.
• Process weekly supplier payments, including quotation/contract review and payment approval.
• Review OEM policies and rebate margin schedules in a timely manner.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support operational decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.
