Job summary

TalentEx Employment Group is seeking an Accountant to join a multi-franchise dealership group in Sunbury, Victoria. This full-time, on-site role sits in the corporate and support team.

You will look after day-to-day accounting, delivering timely financials for management and assisting with budgets and forecasts. A background in automotive retail is a plus, with solid Excel and accounting software skills and Australian working rights.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a general accounting or accountant role.
• Solid knowledge of month-end reporting, reconciliations and BAS.
• Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience in automotive retail is an advantage.
• Full working rights in Australia — no visa sponsorship offered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial reports and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process and reconcile bank accounts and general ledger entries.
• Prepare BAS and other statutory reporting.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Work with dealership and department managers to answer financial queries.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts and audit requests.
