Job summary

JBM Power Pty Ltd (ARA Group) seeks an experienced Electrical Switchboards Estimator to manage the tender process from estimation to sale, keeping targets and budgets while delivering accurate and competitive prices. The role will foster customer retention and develop new business across projects with major industry clients.

You will identify customer needs, ensure WHS, quality, contractual and commercial accuracy, conduct cost analysis, screen tenders, and engage new clients in a dynamic,

Qualifications

• Experience estimating industrial switchboards (MCCs, PLCs, protection panels).
• Understanding of electrical schematics and Australian Standards (AS 3008, AS3439, 61439.1).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, sales and negotiation skills.
• Able to work autonomously and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tender process from estimating to sales and ensure targets and budgets are met.
• Provide accurate and competitive prices to win business while maintaining customer retention and developing new clients.
• Ensure estimates are WHS, quality, contractual and commercial compliant and conduct cost analysis and reporting.
• Actively screen the market for open tenders and engage with new clients.
• Maintain market intelligence on future activities and opportunities.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Switchboards Estimator, able to control all aspects of the tender process from estimating to sales, maintaining targets and budgets, providing accurate and competitive prices, ensuring customer retention and new customer development.

The successful candidate would foster and maintain customer contacts, effectively identify customer needs and expectations, ensure all estimates are properly managed for WHS, quality, contractual and commercial correctness, conduct cost analysis and reporting, actively screen the market for open tenders and engage with new clients, and maintain and cultivate intelligence on future market activities

Successful Candidate:

• Previous experience in Estimating of Industrial Switchboards (MCCs, PLCs, Protection Panels, etc).


• Understanding of electrical schematics, GAs and Australian Standards (AS 3008, AS3439, 61439.1, etc).


• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.


• Strong communication, sales and negotiation skills.


• Results oriented and deadline driven.


• Self-sufficient and self-managed.


• Must be able to maintain confidential information.
