Job summary

GMTS Recruitment in Rockhampton is seeking an experienced Estimator/Supervisor to assess property damage, estimate repair costs, and supervise trades to ensure timely restorations.

You will coordinate inspections, liaise with insurers, maintain OH&S compliance, and manage multiple projects. The role requires a QBCC Supervisors License, carpentry or related trade qualification, and at least 3 years of supervision experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years supervising experience
• QBCC Supervisors License mandatory
• Trade qualifications in building (carpentry preferred)
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assess property damage and prepare detailed estimates
• Supervise trades to ensure timely, high-quality restorations
• Coordinate and manage trades throughout restoration process
• Monitor job progress and resolve issues
• Liaise with insurers and insured parties
• Organise access and inspections with clients
• Ensure OH&S compliance and contract obligations
• Coordinate inspections and sign-offs from building surveyors
