Job summary

JRG Recruitment is seeking an Estimator with local Australian experience in slope remediation and ground engineering to join a permanent team. You will estimate Jet Grouting, ground improvement, slope stabilisation and foundations, working with Senior Designers in a supportive environment.

The role requires proven tendering capability across government, council and major infrastructure projects nationwide in Australia.

Qualifications

• Local Australian estimating experience in slope remediation and ground engineering.
• Strong first-principles estimating capability.
• Experience estimating Jet Grouting, ground improvement, slope stabilisation and foundations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit tenders for Jet Grouting and ground improvement projects.

The Company

Our client is a leading engineering contractor who has been specialising in a range of ground engineering solutions including Jet Grouting, Anchoring Systems (Soil Nailing / Rock Bolting), Slope Stabilisation, Shotcrete, Foundation Piling and Ground Improvement work.

Our client has an exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced Estimatorwith Ground Improvement, Ground Engineering, Slope Stabilisation experienceto join their team.

The successful candidate will have local (Australia) experience in estimating scopes including - Jet Grouting, Ground Anchoring (Soil nailing & Rock bolting), Slope stabilisation, Ground Improvement, Shotcrete, and Foundation piling.

The Role

You’ll report directly to one of the Senior Designers & Estimators, working collaboratively within a high-performing team to contribute to our client’s tendering output. The team offers a positive and supportive culture that encourages innovation, strong collaboration and gold-standard communication, while providing a flexible and autonomous working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and submitting tenders for Jet Grouting and ground improvement projects
• Preparing and submitting competitive tenders for basement shoring and retention wall projects
• Preparing and submitting tenders for government and council slope stabilisation and remediation works
• Preparing and submitting tenders for major infrastructure projects across Australia

What are we looking for?

• Proven estimating experience within the geotechnical and civil construction industry
• Previous design experience within a civil or geotechnical environment
• Practical site-based construction experience
• 1-3 years' estimating experience within the civil or geotechnical construction industry
• Strong first-principles estimating capability
• Experience developing, reviewing and managing subcontractor work packages
• Civil Engineering degree preferred
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
• Strong technical knowledge with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement of systems and processes
