Job summary

JRG Recruitment is seeking an Estimator for a Remedial Building role in Sydney. You will estimate remedial building, waterproofing, strata works, and facade upgrade projects, supporting the construction team with tender preparation and documentation.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of recent estimating experience in remedial works, a degree in Engineering or Construction Management, and a solid understanding of process and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent experience estimating Remedial Building, Waterproofing, Strata Works and Facade Upgrade/Cladding Replacement projects.
• Understanding of the Remedial Building, Waterproofing and Building Maintenance processes.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction Management.

Responsibilities

• Initial assessment of tenders received to determine size and scope of project
• Attend site scoping and tender meetings
• Prepare tender estimates
• Read and interpret project documentation, including specifications, drawings and BOQs
• Complete take-offs
• Prepare proposed methodology
• Develop strong relationships with all stakeholders
• Evaluate sub-contractor and supplier tender documentation
• Provide detailed handover of project information to the Construction Team

The Role

Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for an Estimator with experience in Remedial Building, Waterproofing, Strata Work and Facade Upgrades to join their team. You will have 2+ years experience estimating Remedial Building and Waterproofing projects.

What are we looking for?

• Essential Experience - Minimum 2 years recent experience estimating Remedial Building, Waterproofing, Strata Works, and Facade Upgrade / Cladding Replacement projects.


• Essential Experience in Estimating Strata Residential and Commercial Remedial Building works including - Concrete Cancer Repairs, Balcony Remediation, Cavity Flashing works, Waterproofing, Facade Upgrade / Cladding Replacement


• Tertiary Qualified in Engineering or Construction Management


• Understanding of the Remedial Building, Waterproofing and Building Maintenance process
