Job summary

W3Global, a Sydney-based construction firm, seeks an experienced Estimator & Contract Administrator specializing in interior fit-out and finishing trades. Your duties include preparing accurate quotations, quantity take-offs and managing contracts, variations and project costs.

You'll review drawings, obtain subcontractor pricing and prepare BOQs, cost breakdowns, and progress claims. Proficiency in Excel and estimating software, plus strong negotiation skills, are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Australian construction estimating experience, preferably interior fit-out.
• Strong knowledge of plasterboard, partitions, ceilings, painting and related trade pricing.
• Ability to read construction drawings and perform accurate quantity take-offs.
• Experience preparing quotations and tender submissions for interior works.
• Knowledge of Australian materials, labour rates and subcontractor pricing.
• Experience in contract administration, variations and progress claims.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator & Contract Administrator specialising in interior fit-out and finishing trades, including plasterboard (Gyprock), partitions, ceilings, painting and related finishing works.

The role involves preparing accurate quotations, conducting quantity take-offs, obtaining subcontractor and supplier pricing, and managing contracts, variations and project costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for plasterboard, partitions, ceilings, painting and other interior finishing works.
• Prepare competitive quotations and tender submissions.
• Obtain and compare material and subcontractor quotations.
• Calculate material quantities, labour costs and subcontractor rates.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed cost breakdowns.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve competitive pricing.
• Prepare and manage subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
• Assess progress claims, variations and subcontractor invoices.
• Monitor project budgets, profitability and cost variations.
• Maintain accurate estimating, contract and project cost records.
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors.

About You

• Minimum 3 years of Australian construction estimating experience, preferably in interior fit-out and finishing trades.
