Job summary

Mason Development Group is seeking an experienced Estimator – Precast to join our Wyong/Jilliby operations. You will work closely with our offshore estimator, takeoffs, and advise clients on cost-effective precast solutions.

Based between Wyong and the new Jilliby facility, you will manage shop drawings, coordinate project delivery, and help shape future automation systems as we scale our operation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating or drafting experience, preferably in precast manufacturing or related construction.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Perform takeoffs and estimates, working with the offshore estimator.
• Provide clients with advice to economise and optimise precast packages.
• Manage procurement of shop drawings to a high standard.
• Oversee multiple projects from tender through delivery, simultaneously.
• Contribute to feedback on AI-driven software and future system design.

About Mason

We’ve built the world’s most advanced automated precast production system and now we're expanding our operation into a purpose-built, automated 3,500m2 factory at Jilliby.

Our throughput will 6x over this exciting and challenging transition and we're seeking an experienced, conscientious Estimator to join the team ahead of this exciting chapter.

What You’ll Actually Do

Perform takeoffs, working closely with our second, offshore Estimator.

Provide clients with advice to economise and optimise their precast packages.

Manage the procurement of shop drawings to a high standard.

Manage multiple projects from tender through delivery, simultaneously.

Provide feedback on internal, AI-driven software / robotic automation and in time, collaborate in the design of future systems.

Set the factory floor production schedule.

Must-Have Experience

5+ years Estimating or Drafting experience, ideally but not critically in precast manufacturing or related construction.

Proven track record of managing multiple projects to a high standard, simultaneously.

Proficient in modern construction methodologies and related technology.
