Estimator – Path to Senior in Government & Education

Job summary

Westbury Constructions Pty Ltd is seeking a capable Estimator with 2 to 5 years' New Build experience to join our NSW team. You will work on government, education, community and housing projects across NSW, and have the opportunity to progress toward Senior Estimator with a clear pathway and supportive leadership.

You will review tender documents, costings, and procurement, with a focus on CostX, Excel and Word, and collaborate with Project Managers and Directors on strategy and programme.

Qualifications

• 4 to 5 years' estimating experience in construction (New Build or Heavy Refurb)
• Working knowledge of CostX (essential), plus Excel and Word
• Qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying or engineering, or a trade background with proven estimating experience
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical documentation accurately
• An understanding of procurement, subcontractor coordination and project costing
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Drive to step up to Senior level and take ownership of results

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and interpreting tender documents, drawings, specifications and scopes of work
• Preparing accurate, competitive estimates across construction, building services and maintenance
• Submitting tenders through government portals including BuyNSW, TenderLink and VendorPanel
• Analysing labour, materials, plant and subcontractor costs
• Building pricing with suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams
• Managing multiple live bids to deadline, with increasing ownership as you progress
• Contributing to improvements in our estimating processes and tools (AI/SI)
