Job summary

Versatile Group is seeking an ambitious Estimator to join its team in Sydney, working across large-scale mixed-use and residential developments. You will be involved from feasibility and cost planning through tender award and construction delivery, gaining exposure to both property development and construction.

The role partners with senior estimating and commercial leaders to develop detailed estimates, cost plans and competitive tenders, while analyzing subcontractor and supplier quotations

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of estimating, cost planning or pre-construction experience.
• Experience on residential, commercial, mixed-use or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and pricing principles.
• Ability to analyse drawings, specs and tender docs.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills.
• Stakeholder management and subcontractor engagement capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction estimates and cost plans.
• Support feasibility assessments and early-stage project costing.
• Prepare competitive tenders and pricing submissions.
• Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost benchmarking.
• Identify value engineering opportunities.
• Assess commercial risks and project opportunities.
• Maintain estimating databases, cost libraries and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with development, design, commercial and delivery teams.
