Job summary

Frontline Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator for a full-time, office-based role in South Windsor. The successful candidate will prepare accurate cost estimates, tenders and project pricing for industrial and commercial construction projects, reviewing drawings and tender docs to define scope and requirements.

You will identify risks, review subcontractor pricing, develop detailed cost breakdowns, and work with internal teams and suppliers throughout the tender

Qualifications

• Experience as Construction Estimator in building construction.
• Experience preparing tenders, analysing costs and obtaining subcontractor pricing.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, tender submissions and project pricing for industrial and commercial construction projects.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications and tender documentation to establish project scope and requirements.
• Identify potential project risks, cost variations and opportunities to improve project value.
• Request, review and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive and reliable pricing.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns, scopes of work and supporting tender documentation.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers throughout the tendering process.
• Contribute to value engineering, pricing strategies and cost-effective construction solutions.
• Maintain organised estimating records and ensure tender submissions are accurate, complete and delivered on time.

Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience as a Construction Estimator or Sales Estimator within the building and construction industry.
• Demonstrated experience estimating commercial and industrial construction projects is essential.
• A sound understanding of construction methods, materials, drawings and specifications.
• Experience preparing tenders, analysing costs and obtaining subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revu and relevant estimating software.
• Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Estimating, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline will be advantageous.
• The ability to work full-time from the South Windsor office.
