GEDON™ | Precision Search for Complex Construction in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Estimator to price civil infrastructure tenders across roads, drainage, water and sewer schemes. Qualifications

• Solid experience as an Estimator in civil construction or infrastructure.
• Experience pricing roads, drainage, water and sewer and earthworks.
• Strong quantity take-off and first-principles estimating skills.
• Knowledge of estimating software such as CANDY or Expert Estimation.
• Understanding of Australian contract forms (AS4000, AS2124).
• Attention to detail and ability to manage several tenders.

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Our client is a respected civil contractor with a strong history of delivering infrastructure across Queensland. They have built their reputation on practical engineering capability, dependable delivery and long-standing relationships with public-sector authorities, utilities and private developers.

The business works across a broad range of civil disciplines and contract models. That gives them a resilient, varied workload and a steady flow of tender opportunities, from competitively priced construct-only packages through to larger design and construct and collaborative schemes.

With infrastructure investment across South East Queensland continuing to accelerate, the business is growing its pre-contract team. They are looking for estimators who want to sharpen their technical skills, take on increasing responsibility and grow with the company over the long term.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PROJECTS

Based in the Brisbane office, you will be part of a close-knit estimating team working alongside senior estimators, engineers, planners and operations managers. The environment is hands-on and supportive. Knowledge is shared openly, and estimators are given real ownership of their packages early on.

You will price a wide variety of civil work, including roads and intersections, drainage and stormwater, water and sewer infrastructure, bulk earthworks, subdivisions and structures. Project values range from smaller, fast-turnaround tenders to significant multi-million-dollar opportunities. This mix builds breadth and confidence quickly.

As your experience grows, you will lead tenders in your own right and contribute to larger bids alongside the senior team. There is a defined route into a Senior Estimator role, and the business has a track record of promoting from within.

RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT YOU NEED

• Solid experience as an Estimator within civil construction or infrastructure contracting
• Experience pricing roads, drainage, water and sewer, earthworks or similar civil packages
• Strong quantity take-off and first-principles estimating skills
• Working knowledge of estimating software such as CANDY, Expert Estimation or similar
• Understanding of civil construction methods and Australian contract forms (AS4000, AS2124)
• A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several tenders at once
