Job summary

Evolve Talent is recruiting experienced Civil Estimators to join a civil contractor on the Sunshine Coast. You will own end-to-end estimating and tendering for a range of civil infrastructure projects, including water, sewer and earthworks.

We welcome candidates with strong estimating software experience and a proven ability to build up first-principles estimates, develop methodologies, and coordinate with project teams to secure successful bids.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and cost drivers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs and BOQs.

• Support tender strategy and commercial decision-making.

Evolve Talent are currently working with established civil and pipeline contractor based in the Sunshine Coast who are looking to add experienced Estimators to their teams.

We are open to speaking with Civil Estimators, Pipeline Estimators and experienced Project Engineers looking to step into an estimating-focused role.

The projects span civil infrastructure, pipelines, water, sewer, stormwater, subdivisions, earthworks and general civil construction.

The Role

You will be responsible for the end-to-end estimating and tendering process, including:

• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Preparing quantity take-offs and BOQs
• Developing first-principles estimates and build-ups
• Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor pricing
• Developing construction methodologies and staging
• Identifying project risks, exclusions and scope gaps
• Preparing competitive tender submissions
• Supporting tender strategy and commercial decision-making
• Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and construction teams
• Supporting handover from estimating into project delivery

About You:

We are interested in speaking with candidates who have experience across:

• Concrete and structural works

Experience with civil estimating software and strong knowledge of construction methodology will be highly regarded.

We are open to a range of experience levels, from strong mid-level Estimators through to Senior Estimators who can independently manage larger and more complex tenders.

Project Engineers and Site Engineers with strong estimating, tendering and pricing exposure who are looking to transition into estimating are also encouraged to apply.
