Job summary

Residential Scaffold Group Beenleigh QLD is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. You will prepare accurate scaffold estimates and quotations by reading plans and assessing project requirements.

Strong numerical skills and attention to detail are essential as you manage multiple estimates and liaise with customers and internal staff. Experience in estimating, construction or scaffolding is highly regarded, and additional training in scaffold-specific estimating can be provided.

Residential Scaffold Group – Beenleigh QLD

Residential Scaffold Group is seeking a motivated and experienced Estimator to join our team.

This role is suited to someone with strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and the ability to interpret building plans and project requirements. Experience within estimating, construction or scaffolding will be highly regarded.

Working as part of our estimating team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates and quotations for residential scaffolding projects while working closely with customers, internal staff and management.

About the Role

As an Estimator, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing accurate scaffold estimates and quotations
• Reading and interpreting residential building plans and construction drawings
• Assessing project requirements and determining scaffold requirements
• Completing take-offs, measurements and pricing
• Reviewing plans, specifications and job information for accuracy
• Identifying potential issues, exclusions or additional requirements during the estimating process
• Liaising with builders, customers and internal team members where required
• Following up outstanding information required to complete quotations
• Maintaining accurate estimating records and job documentation
• Managing multiple estimates and priorities within required timeframes
• Assisting with variations and revised project requirements where necessary

About You

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• Previous estimating experience within construction, scaffolding or a related industry
• The ability to confidently read and interpret building plans and drawings
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good numerical and measurement skills
• Strong computer and data-entry skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• The ability to manage multiple jobs and competing priorities
• Confidence communicating with customers, builders and internal staff
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• A practical and solution-focused approach to their work

Previous scaffolding experience would be highly regarded; however, applicants with estimating experience from other areas of residential construction are also encouraged to apply.

For the right applicant with strong construction knowledge and the ability to read plans, additional training in scaffold-specific estimating can be provided.
