Job summary

ATG Group in Melbourne (Hawthorn East) is seeking an Intermediate Estimator to support pre-construction and delivery teams. The role covers preparing accurate estimates for a range of projects, from new builds to refurbishments and modular works, with opportunities for growth and development.

You will work with take-offs, BOQs, and tender submissions, leveraging CostX where possible, to contribute to successful bids and project handovers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of estimating experience in new build or modular projects.
• Experience with cost planning and tender submissions.
• Construction White Card.

Responsibilities

• Review tender and bid documentation for submission.
• Attend site inspections.
• Ensure timely completion of estimates including take-offs and BOQs.
• Analyse and review trade quotes for comparison.
• Communicate effectively with Sub-contractors, suppliers and clients.
• Post-award, collate and handover tender information to the Construction Team.
• Prepare tender and cost analysis for review with internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with project delivery teams to ensure budgets align with pricing strategy.

ATG Group is seeking an Intermediate Estimator to join our Melbourne team in Hawthorn East. The Opportunity

Working closely with our pre-construction and delivery teams, you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates and supporting successful tender submissions from inception through to project handover.

This role provides the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects, including new build construction, fitout, refurbishment and modular projects. Previous experience in modular construction is not essential; however, it will be highly regarded.

As a permanent full-time Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting ATG's continued growth and helping us deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Review all tender and bid documentation for submission.
• Attending site inspections.
• Ensure timely completion of estimates including take-offs and BOQ's.
• Analyse and review trade quotes for comparison.
• Communicate effectively and build quality relationships with sub-contractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Post award, collate and handover tender information to the Construction Team.
• Prepare tender and cost analysis for review with internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with project delivery teams to ensure project budgets and performance align with pricing strategy agreed during estimating phase.

About You

• 3-5 years' experience (New Build Construction or Modular Projects)
• Experience using Cost X preferred.
• Previous experience in an Estimating role.
• Strong work ethic with outstanding communication skills.
• Analytical and strategic thinker.
• Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
• Construction White Card.
