Job summary

Pure Source Recruitment is seeking a people-focused coordinator in Brisbane to support the Estimating team and manage subcontractor relationships through tender invitations and pricing follow-up. You will coordinate communications, keep stakeholders informed, and handle front-of-house duties while helping the team meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key point of contact between the Estimating team and subcontractors, building strong, productive working relationships
• Coordinate invitations to price upcoming projects, identifying and contacting relevant subcontractors and issuing the necessary documentation
• Follow up on pricing requests, monitor responses and help keep the estimating process on track against tight tender deadlines
• Communicate with subcontractors throughout the process, providing updates and letting them know when they have or haven’t been successful in securing work
• Maintain accurate records of invitations, quotes, subcontractor details and follow up activities
• Work closely with the Estimating team to understand project requirements, anticipate needs and provide proactive support
• Manage reception duties, including welcoming visitors, answering incoming calls and responding to general enquires
• Coordinate meeting rooms, deliveries, couriers, office supplies and other facilities
• Provide general administrative support across the business, taking a practical, hands on approach and pitching in whenever needed

About the role

This is a people-focused coordination role where relationships and follow-through are just as important as organisation and attention to detail.You don’t necessarily need a background in construction. Experience in recruitment, resourcing, property management, trade coordination or another role where you’ve managed relationships, coordinated competing priorities and kept things moving could translate well.

Working closely with the Estimating team, you’ll be the key link between the business and its network of subcontractors, coordinating invitations to price upcoming projects, following up on quotes and keeping communication flowing throughout the tender process. You’ll help ensure the right people are engaged, deadlines are met and subcontractors are kept informed, including when they’ve been unsuccessful in securing work.

It’s a role that calls for someone who understands the importance of good relationships, clear communication and being responsive when people are working to tight deadlines. You’ll enjoy building rapport, keeping people engaged and making life easier for the Estimating team, while also taking care of general office administration and reception duties.
