Job summary

Southern Steel Group is seeking an ERP Support Analyst to bolster the distribution network across the group. The role focuses on day-to-day ERP support, building Excel-based tools for pricing, processing and reporting, and partnering with users to improve data accuracy, system adoption and processes.

You will troubleshoot user queries, assist with access, data mapping and integrations (SigmaNEST, Romac, Pulse), and contribute to training and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with formulas, data manipulation and reporting capabilities.
• Proven problem-solving ability using Excel and business systems.
• Experience with an ERP or business management system; SM3 experience would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Steel distribution, processing or manufacturing environments is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day ERP support, troubleshooting user queries and transactional issues.
• Assist with user access, master data, system configuration and integrations (SigmaNEST, Romac, Pulse).
• Analyse, validate and reconcile data to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
• Support data mapping, migration and validation activities when required.
• Provide user training and develop process documentation and user guides.
• Travel to sites as needed to understand operational requirements and support process alignment.
• Collaborate with site management and IT to promote system adoption and continuous improvement.

Job description

Southern Steel Group (SSG) is the largest privately-owned independent steel distributor in Australia. We operate nationally with many branches across Australia, employing approximately 1400 employees.

We are currently looking for an ERP Support Analyst to join our busy team and assist our distribution businesses across the Group.

In this role, you will provide day-to-day system support, maintain and develop Excel-based tools for pricing, processing and reporting, and work with users and stakeholders to improve data accuracy, system adoption and business processes.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing day-to-day ERP support, including troubleshooting user queries, pricing, processing and transactional issues
• Assisting with user access, master data, system configuration and integrations, including SigmaNEST, Romac and Pulse
• Analysing, validating and reconciling data to identify discrepancies and improvement opportunities
• Supporting data mapping, migration and validation activities when required
• Providing user support and assisting with system training, process documentation and user guides
• Where required conduct site visits to understand operational requirements and support process alignment
• Working with site management, IT, senior management and project stakeholders to support system adoption and continuous improvement

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with confidence working with formulas, spreadsheets and data
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve issues using Excel and business systems
• Experience with an ERP or business management system; SM3 experience would be advantageous
• Experience or knowledge in Steel, Distribution, Processing or Manufacturing, particularly Structural Steel and Plate, would be highly regarded
