Job summary

West Gippsland Healthcare Group in Warragul, VIC, is seeking a dedicated Ergonomist (Grade 5 HS5) for a permanent part-time role (40 hours per fortnight) within the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team. You will be the SME on ergonomics and safe design, driving initiatives to reduce injury risk through ergonomic assessment, manual handling risk management and workplace design.

• Lead strategic and tactical initiatives to reduce occupational injury risks using ergonomics, manual handling risk management and workplace design principles.
• Collaborate with teams to apply ergonomics knowledge and promote safe design across the organisation.

Management and Administrative Officers, Grade 5 (HS5)

An opportunity is available for an Ergonomist within the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team.

This role will be WGHG's principal subject matter expert in ergonomics, human factors and safe design. The role is responsible for leading strategic and tactical initiatives that reduce occupational injury risks through the application of ergonomics, human factors, manual handling risk management and workplace design principles.

We are seeking someone with:

• Qualifications and experience in ergonomics
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and manage competing priorities
