Job summary

Veolia in Pyrmont, Sydney, Australia, seeks an experienced ER/IR specialist to shape and lead employee and industrial relations across the organisation. The role involves negotiating enterprise agreements, advising stakeholders, and driving a data-driven ER/IR approach in a large, diversified environment.

You will support managers and HR teams with coaching, investigations, and dispute resolution while engaging with Fair Work and other tribunals as required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ER/IR experience in a large organisation.
• Experience negotiating enterprise agreements.
• Ability to interpret legislation, awards and industrial relations strategy.
• Experience guiding complex workplace investigations and disputes.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert ER/IR advice to Line Managers, HR Managers and HR Partners in a fast-paced environment.
• Coach and train managers and HR colleagues across ER/IR topics including enterprise agreements.
• Lead and participate in enterprise agreement negotiations as required.
• Manage end-to-end claims (Fair Work, AHRC) including drafting responses and submissions.
• Advocate at Fair Work Commission and other tribunals as needed.
• Offer expert case management and conduct complex workplace investigations.
• Lead dispute resolution processes and manage complex union matters.
• Gather and analyse key data metrics to inform decisions.
