Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services is seeking an experienced ER/IR specialist to join our Pyrmont team. This newly created role focuses on delivering a full spectrum of employee and industrial relations activities within a large, diverse organisation.

You will shape engagement, negotiation and trust across the organisation, with responsibility for EA management, Fair Work claims and complex workplace investigations, in a data-driven environment with blue and white collar exposure.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in HR/IR or equivalent industry experience.
• Extensive ER/IR practitioner experience in a large organisation.
• Experience interpreting legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and IR strategy.
• Experience conducting complex workplace investigations and disciplinary matters.
• Experience in Enterprise Agreement negotiations.
• Experience advocating in the Fair Work Commission and/or other tribunals.
• Experience managing complex union matters and resolving disputes.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert day-to-day ER/IR advice to stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Coach and train Managers and HR team members on ER/IR, including planning and negotiating enterprise agreements.
• Lead enterprise agreement negotiations as required.
• Oversee end-to-end claim management (e.g., Fair Work, AHRC), drafting responses and submissions.
• Advocate in the Fair Work Commission and other workplace tribunals.
• Guide case management and complex workplace investigations.
• Contribute to dispute resolution processes and union matters.
• Gather and analyse key data metrics to drive decisions.
