Job summary

Tooheys Brewery in Lidcombe is seeking an experienced Equipment Specialist (Machine Specialist - Asset Care) to join the Packaging Engineering team. The role is hands-on, focusing mainly on planned maintenance and equipment overhauls on high-speed packaging lines, with some electrical work depending on qualifications.

You will work across racking, canning and glass packaging, driving improvements, reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Dual trade qualification in mechanical and electrical disciplines is preferred.
• Maintenance experience in high-speed manufacturing environments is essential.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and hands-on maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance, equipment overhauls and continuous improvement across high-speed packaging machinery.
• Provide specialist mechanical (and some electrical) maintenance support.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues using practical problem-solving; implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to deliver sustainable improvements.
• Supervise external contractors performing specialist maintenance activities.
• Champion safety-first culture across the brewery.
