AMAST Safety & Rescue, based in Mackay, seeks experienced Equipment Operators to join its Emergency Response Team. You will perform day-to-day machine operations and be part of the site emergency response team, ready to respond to emergencies when required.

Ideal candidates hold or will obtain ERT competencies, RII Operator Tickets for various machinery, and health certifications (Standard 11, Coal Board medical). The roster is 7 on, 7 off with travel on offer and camp meals provided.

Equipment Operator/Emergency Response Team Member

AMAST Safety & Rescue are a well-established reputable Mackay based business that has been involved in Emergency Response & Rescue for more than 20 years.

Due to increasing work contracts in Queensland, we are seeking experienced Operators with ERT qualifications (or willing to complete them) for roles in the Bowen Basin.

As an ERT/Operator you will be working with the client team to provide day-to-day machine operations, be part of the site emergency response team and respond to emergencies when required.

You will be a team player who demonstrates capability in all emergency situations and provide a timely and effective response.

The role is for suitably qualified personnel with proven machine operation experience and either possess or be willing to obtain rescue competencies. This will be a 7 on, 7 off roster with 1 extra day every 6 weeks for ERT skills maintenance training.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

• Current RII machine Operator Ticket with evidence of experience (e.g. site skills lists) for any of the following; Wheeled Loader Operations, Excavator, Water cart, Dozer, Haul truck
• ERT qualifications/competencies or willing to obtain.
• Ideally hold a current Standard 11 and Coal Board medical.
• Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (or other D&A testing certification)
• Current Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

This position is for suitably qualified mine site operators with ERT skills/qualification. As these positions are coal mine based, the applicant will ideally have mine site rescue experience, a current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical, however all applicants with relevant emergency response and operator experience will be considered.
