Global Skilled Employment Services is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join our milk processing warehouse in Kyabram, Victoria. You will operate a forklift to move pallets, crates and cartons between production, storage and dispatch areas, maintaining safe and efficient workflow.

Applicants should hold an AQF Certificate II or III and a current forklift licence, with at least 1 year of warehouse experience.

FORKLIFT DRIVER (Milk Processing Warehouse)

Location: Kyabram, VIC 3620

Tenure: Full-time, Permanent

Comprehensive salary package from $71,481 per annum (plus superannuation)

Required Qualification

• AQF Certificate II or III in related industry or higher equivalent
• At least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• A current forklift licence appropriate to the equipment operated.

About the role

On behalf of our client, Global Skilled Employment Services is looking for an experienced Forklift Driver to work in our milk processing warehouse. You will operate a forklift to move containers, crates, palletised milk products, cartons and packaging materials between production, storage and dispatch areas.

Key duties

• Operate forklift controls to position the forklift and raise and lower forks to stack and unstack palletised milk products, crates and cartons.
• Transport goods by forklift to designated areas within the milk processing facility and warehouse.
• Ensure goods are stored in the correct areas so they can be easily located when preparing orders.
• Monitor forklift operation visually and through gauges, instruments and available computerised monitoring equipment.
• Inspect and check forklift equipment to identify wear and damage.
• Perform routine servicing, minor repairs and adjustments to forklifts within the scope of your training and authorisation.
• Strictly perform duties in accordance with workplace safety, food hygiene and refrigerated storage procedures.

Essential skills

• Experience safely moving, stacking and storing palletised goods.
• Ability to identify equipment faults and follow maintenance and reporting procedures.
• Ability to work safely in a temperature-controlled warehouse.
• Reliability, attention to detail and good teamwork skills.
• Experience in a dairy processing, food manufacturing or cold storage environment is desirable.
