Job summary

Kyabram Cold Storage in Kyabram, VIC is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team on a casual and permanent basis. The role is based at our Kyabram facility and centers on the safe, efficient movement of goods within our distribution centre.

You will operate forklifts, perform routine inspections, report hazards, and follow all safety protocols. Prior forklift experience, good communication, and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience in warehousing or distribution.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work well in a team.
• Supervisory experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to load, unload and move goods safely.
• Carry out routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Identify and report equipment issues or hazards.
• Follow warehouse safety protocols and CoR requirements.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as required.
• Utilise the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Kyabram Cold Storage is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team on a casual and permanent basis. This is an essential role in our warehouse operations, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods within our distribution centre. The role is usually based in our Kyabram facility.

What you'll be doing

• Operating forklifts to load, unload and move goods in a timely and safe manner
• Maintaining equipment by performing routine inspections and basic maintenance
• Identifying and reporting any equipment issues or hazards to ensure a safe work environment
• Following all warehouse safety protocols and procedures
• CoR:Familiarity with Chain of Responsibility requirements
• Assisting with other warehouse duties as required
• Using our Warehouse Management System (WMS)

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehousing or distribution environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Supervisory experience is beneficial
