Job summary

Guzman y Gomez Mexican Kitchen in Melbourne is seeking an Equipment & Facilities Manager to be the first escalation point for state issues. You will work with Operations Managers to restore restaurant speed, manage contractors, and drive down downtime and operating costs.

You will lead preventative maintenance, supplier relationships, and asset records, while planning replacements and supporting new openings and electrification efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities, equipment, asset or repairs and maintenance management.
• Knowledge of QSR or foodservice is preferred.
• Regulations on safety and equipment handling understood.

Responsibilities

• Be the first escalation point in the state for equipment and facilities issues and close out tickets.
• Coordinate rapid response and replacement when failures affect trading, incl. franshise support.
• Monitor repair spend, faults and volume; act on trends and make replacement decisions.
• Spot warranty-eligible jobs, hold contractors accountable and recover value.
• Manage preventative maintenance, contractor performance and compliance with SLAs.
• Manage supplier relationships and state stock under national agreements.
• Keep asset records and contribute to replacement forecasts and CAPEX planning.
• Support readiness for new restaurants, refurbishments and electrification programme.
