Job summary

Pine Rivers Special School in Lawnton, 20 kilometres north of Brisbane, is hiring a Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities on a temporary basis. You will contribute to a safe, clean and welcoming environment for students, staff and the wider school community.

This role involves maintaining grounds and facilities to a high standard under supervision for non-routine tasks, and you will not be required to perform trades.

• Maintain grounds and facilities to a high standard, following set instructions with some independence.
• Receive supervision for non-routine duties.
• No tasks requiring a licensed tradesperson.

Pine Rivers Special School is a co-educational Queensland state school located in Lawnton, approximately 20 kilometres north of Brisbane, catering for students from Prep to Year 12 with significant intellectual disabilities.

Your Opportunity

• As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the school by providing a high level of grounds and facilities to the, Business Manager.
• You will perform a range of activities to ensure that the school is maintained to a high standard; follow set instructions; and have independence to perform a variety of day-to-day services that are routine in nature. However, the role receives regular supervision when undertaking duties that are non-routine in nature.
• As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities you will not be required to perform any task or repairs that would normally require the services of a qualified tradesperson.
