Queensland Department of Education – Tamborine QLD is seeking a dynamic Facilities Officer for Yarrabilba State School, a site operating under PPP and D&C Maintain arrangements. The role focuses on reliable facility operations and stakeholder coordination.

The successful applicant will manage daily facility operations, including security, safety, grounds, cleaning, and hire of facilities, and complete essential administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of facility management including the security, safety, grounds, cleaning and hire of our facilities and also complete the administrative requirements of the role.
• Communicate effectively with Contract Management Services and contractors relating to planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs to ensure maintenance programs are operationally viable for the school.

Yarrabilba State School operates under a Public-Private Partnership and Design, Construct and Maintain arrangement and is seeking a dynamic and proactive person to join the team as a Facilities Officer.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

About the role:

The successful applicant would have an eye for detail and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people both Departmental employees and Contract Maintenance Services.

As part of your role:

• You will oversee the daily operations of facility management including the security, safety, grounds, cleaning and hire of our facilities and also complete the administrative requirements of the role.
• You will be able to effectively communicate with Contract Management Services and contractors relating to planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs to ensure maintenance programs are operationally viable for the school.
