Job summary

Green by Nature AU is hiring a qualified horticulturist to maintain premium outdoor spaces across Sydney's City and Eastern Suburbs. Join a skilled team delivering high-profile landscape maintenance and plant displays with a strong safety and workmanship focus.

You'll work hands-on with mowing, pruning, planting and irrigation, supporting junior team members, and accessing ongoing training, uniforms and equipment. A valid licence, White Card and WWCC are required or obtained.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens (essential).
• Practical experience in commercial or high-end horticultural maintenance.
• Strong plant identification and garden maintenance knowledge.
• Experience operating horticultural equipment and machinery.
• Proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A current driver's licence. White Card and WWCC or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, edging, pruning, hedging, mulching and weeding.
• Garden and landscape maintenance to premium presentation standards.
• Planting, seasonal garden displays and landscape enhancements.
• Identifying and treating plant pests, diseases and nutrient deficiencies.
• Operating and maintaining horticultural tools, machinery and irrigation systems.
• Supporting turf renovation and improvement projects.
• Assisting with task coordination and mentoring within the team where required.
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and efficiently.

About the Role

As a Qualified Horticulturist, you'll play an important role in maintaining exceptional outdoor environments to the highest presentation standards. You'll work alongside a skilled team and may have opportunities to provide guidance and support to junior team members.
