Job summary

Bargara State School is seeking a Cleaner to join our school community to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment in alignment with the approved cleaning program and standards.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months. Applicants must be current Queensland Government employees to be eligible to apply; recruitment agencies will not be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise windows, surfaces, toilets, sick bays, furniture, equipment and floors; control cobwebs and mildew; maintain outdoor paved areas; remove rubbish, litter and graffiti; and perform general cleaning duties as directed.
• Activate and disarm security systems, and lock and unlock school buildings as required.
• Coordinate cleaning supply purchases and replacements with the Principal or Business Manager, report security, safety and maintenance concerns.

About the Role:
