Job summary

Bargara State School in Queensland is seeking a reliable, motivated Cleaner to join our school team. This permanent part-time role (0.55 FTE) provides cleaning support to maintain a safe, well-presented school environment in line with the approved cleaning program.

The role includes cleaning duties, security system activation/deactivation, and coordination of cleaning supplies with the Principal or Business Manager. Applications from suitable candidates are welcome.

This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.55 FTE), 42 hours per fortnight.

About The Role

The role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-presented school environment by providing high-quality cleaning support in accordance with the approved school cleaning program and required standards.

Responsibilities Include

• Clean and sanitise windows, surfaces, toilets, sick bays, furniture, equipment and floors; control cobwebs and mildew; maintain outdoor paved areas; remove rubbish, litter and graffiti; and perform general cleaning duties as directed.
• Activate and disarm security systems, and lock and unlock school buildings as required.
• Coordinate cleaning supply purchases and replacements with the Principal or Business Manager, report security, safety and maintenance concerns.
