Job summary

Bargara State School in Queensland is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment in line with the approved school cleaning program and required standards. This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest.

You will be part of a supportive team, performing general cleaning duties and supporting the school's facilities, with responsibilities including cleaning of windows and surfaces, sanitising, waste removal, and basic security checks

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise windows, surfaces, toilets, sick bays, furniture, equipment and floors; control cobwebs and mildew; maintain outdoor paved areas; remove rubbish, litter and graffiti; and perform general cleaning duties as directed.
• Activate and disarm security systems, and lock and unlock school buildings as required.
• Coordinate cleaning supply purchases and replacements with the Principal or Business Manager, report security, safety and maintenance concerns.

About The Role

The role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-presented school environment by providing high-quality cleaning support in accordance with the approved school cleaning program and required standards.
