Job summary

WT Partnership in Adelaide is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to support our expanding team on retail, commercial and residential construction projects.

You will conduct estimating, planning, cost management and financial reporting, ensuring value for clients with sound financial acumen.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Full Australian working rights and located in Australia.
  • RICS / AIQS accreditation is a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of CostX.
  • Motivated to deliver excellence to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clients, architects and main contractors.
  • Identify and facilitate new business opportunities.
  • Prepare master-plans and feasibility budgets.
  • Cost check developing design.
  • Conduct tender evaluations and analysis.
  • Manage cash flow projections and procurement.
  • Prepare cost reports and valuations.
  • Evaluate variations and final accounts; assist in claims.

Job Description

We’re on the lookout for qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to work with our expanding Adelaide team.

Supporting key retail, commercial and residential construction projects, this role will perform various quantity surveying functions including estimating, planning and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting whilst exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for our clients.

This role is responsible for:

  • Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors
  • Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities
  • Master-plan and feasibility budgets
  • Cost checking of developing design
  • Tender evaluations and analysis
  • Cash flow projects
  • Procurement
  • Cost reporting
  • Evaluation of variations
  • Valuations
  • Final account reporting
  • Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims
  • Investment analysis
  • Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans
Qualifications
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Full Australian working rights and currently located in Australia
  • RICS / AIQS accredited candidates will be highly regarded
  • Proficient in the use of Cost X
  • Highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clients
