Job summary

Hazeldenes Chicken Farm in regional Victoria is seeking a forklift driver to support production with general forklift duties. Two positions are available and applicants must be flexible to work across different shift times as required by operations.

Responsibilities include moving pallets, managing waste, and completing pre-operational forklift reports. You may also train to operate trucks and contribute to continuous improvement while adhering to GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have valid forklift licence.
• Experience with good manufacturing practices is a plus.
• Able to work across different shift times based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Move pallets to designated storage areas.
• Empty and condense rubbish in bins.
• Complete pre-operational reports for forklifts.
• Operate trucks as required or undertake training to drive trucks.
• Perform other general forklift duties as needed.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

The primary objective of the forklift driver is to perform general forklift duties required by production.

Positions available: 2Shift: Shift times are currently being finalised. Applicants must be flexible to work across different shift times based on operational requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Move pallets to the required area to be stored
• Emptying and condensing rubbish in bins
• Ensure pre-operational reports are completed on forklifts prior to operation
• Operate trucks as required, or be willing to undertake training and obtain the appropriate licence to drive trucks
• Other general forklift duties as required

Quality

• Work in accordance with good manufacturing practices.
• Practice good hygiene & sanitation procedures.
• Contribute towards good housekeeping at all times
• Complete forms/ check sheets as directed.

OHS Systems

• Report any incidents/ accidents or near misses &/or hazards in a timely manner.
• Be diligent in adhering to safe work practices and company policies
• Take reasonable care of own and other employees health and safety

Production

• Work as directed by the teams management and in accordance with Company policies, procedures and work instructions
• Responsibilities as defined by the Hazeldene’s Processing Collective Agreement
• Cooperate with continuous improvement initiatives
