Job summary

Hazeldene’s is seeking two forklift drivers in Bendigo to perform general forklift duties in production, with shifts to be finalised.

You will move pallets, assist with waste handling, complete pre-operational forklift checks, and may train to obtain the necessary licence to operate trucks.

This role supports the production team and adheres to GMP, safety, and housekeeping requirements under Hazeldene’s Processing Collective Agreement.

• Move pallets to the required area to be stored
• Emptying and condensing rubbish in bins
• Ensure pre-operational reports are completed on forklifts prior to operation
• Operate trucks as required, or be willing to undertake training and obtain the appropriate licence to drive trucks
• Other general forklift duties as required

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

The primary objective of the forklift driver is to perform general forklift duties required by production.

Positions available: 2
Shift: Shift times are currently being finalised. Applicants must be flexible to work across different shift times based on operational requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Forklift duties

• Move pallets to the required area to be stored
• Emptying and condensing rubbish in bins
• Ensure pre-operational reports are completed on forklifts prior to operation
• Operate trucks as required, or be willing to undertake training and obtain the appropriate licence to drive trucks
• Other general forklift duties as required

Quality

• Work in accordance with good manufacturing practices.
• Practice good hygiene & sanitation procedures.
• Contribute towards good housekeeping at all times
• Complete forms/ check sheets as directed.

OHS Systems

• Report any incidents/ accidents or near misses &/or hazards in a timely manner.
• Be diligent in adhering to safe work practices and company policies
• Take reasonable care of own and other employees health and safety

Production

• Work as directed by the teams management and in accordance with Company policies,
  procedures and work instructions
• Responsibilities as defined by the Hazeldene’s Processing Collective Agreement
• Cooperate with continuous improvement initiatives
