Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Planner to join the Sydney Environmental Impact Assessment team, leading environmental impact assessments across transport, energy, water and industrial sectors.

You will collaborate with a diverse team on NSW projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the portfolio of EIS work including major projects and renewables, while delivering high-quality outcomes in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental planning, or environmentalengineering with 3+ years relevant work experience, consulting experience desirable
• Environmental impact assessment experience across numerous market sectors and a good industry reputation
• Strong teamplayer, confident communicator, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated project management and project delivery skills, including time management and organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of timely, high-quality environmental impact assessments and related studies
• Contribute to constraints analyses, strategic planning pathway assessments, and environmental management plans
• Assist with coordinating project resources, budgets, and schedules, maintaining effective delivery and quality standards
• Mentor and guide juniors, including graduates and undergraduates, supporting their technical and professional development
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, applying commercial acumen and emotional intelligence to project leadership.
