Job summary

BMD Group is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to manage environmental programs on a 15/6 FIFO roster across Darwin, Townsville, Gladstone and Rockhampton. You will support project teams in implementing environmental systems and site-specific management plans.

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, you will conduct inspections, audits and monitoring, assist with incidents and reporting, and deliver site training and toolbox talks to ensure regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or similar.
• 4–7 years post-graduate experience in a site-based construction environment.
• Strong understanding of environmental compliance on civil projects.
• Confident communicator able to engage with site teams and stakeholders.
• Open to regional FIFO work when required.

About The Role

With a strong pipeline of newly awarded projects across Queensland, BMD is seeking an Environmental Coordinator who is open to FIFO-based work on a 15/6 roster across Darwin, Townsville, Gladstone, and Rockhampton. Reporting to the Environmental Manager, the Environmental Coordinator will support project teams in the implementation and ongoing management of BMD's environmental systems and site-specific environmental management plans.
