Job summary

All Energy Contracting is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead EPC delivery on major renewable energy and power infrastructure projects in Australia, starting with the Laceby Solar Farm in Victoria. You will oversee safety, program, cost and quality, and manage a multidisciplinary team across civil, electrical and mechanical works.

Qualifications

• Practical approach to problem solving and client relationships.
• Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management.

• Coordinate civil, electrical and mechanical works across EPC interfaces.
• Own the program, budget, forecasting and commercial outcomes including variations and claims.
• Drive safety, quality and environmental performance throughout delivery.
• Manage subcontractor performance across safety, quality, schedule and contractual commitments.
• Build strong client relationships and maintain confidence in project delivery.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and create a positive project culture.
• Own and deliver a structured reporting regime covering HSE, program, engineering, procurement, construction, quality, commercial, risk and commissioning.

About the opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of major renewable and energy projects.

Your first project will be the Laceby Solar Farm (based in north east Victoria), which integrates a 60 MW AC solar generation system with 240 MWh of battery energy storage, designed to deliver reliable, low-carbon power to the regional grid. Combining renewable generation and advanced storage to ensure firm, dispatchable clean energy, supporting grid stability and Australia’s energy transition.

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll be accountable for overseeing project delivery and commercial performance, leading a multidisciplinary team driving safety, program, cost and quality outcomes. Day to day you will;

• Lead project establishment and mobilisation, coordinating governance, approvals, permits, management plans and procurement to ensure construction readiness.
• Coordinate civil, electrical and mechanical works across engineering, procurement and construction, managing interfaces, sequencing and delivery risks.
• Own the program, budget, forecasting and commercial outcomes including variations and claims.
• Drive safety, quality and environmental performance throughout delivery.
• Manage subcontractor performance across safety, quality, schedule and contractual commitments.
• Build strong client relationships, resolve issues and maintain confidence in project delivery.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and create a positive, accountable project culture.
• Own and delivery a structured reporting regime covering HSE, program, engineering, procurement, construction, quality, commercial, risk and commissioning.

As a Senior Project Manager with AEC, you will be predominantly site-based, with periodic attendance at our Hamilton, Brisbane head office as required. Regular site attendance and travel are a key part of the role, with arrangements dependent on project location and delivery requirements.

Beyond the Laceby Solar Farm, our pipeline offers opportunities across Australia and New Zealand as AEC continues to grow.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Experience leading EPC delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally valued between $50m and $800m.
• Strong technical and delivery experience in renewable energy or power infrastructure including solar, wind, BESS, HV or Balance of Plant.
• Strong commercial judgement and experience managing project financial performance, contracts and risk.
• The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and contractors through complex delivery.
• A practical approach to solving problems, making decisions and building trusted client relationships.
• Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
