Job summary

Lactalis Australia is seeking an Environmental Advisor for our Harvey Fresh site in Harvey, WA. You’ll oversee WWTP operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive improvements in environmental systems.

This local role offers exposure to audits, reporting, and sustainability initiatives within a supportive team. You will report to the HSE Manager, collaborate with internal teams and regulators, and contribute to a strong safety and environmental culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science (or equivalent).
• 1–2 years’ experience in wastewater management is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and environmental systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Familiarity with SAP and environmental reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
• Ensure compliance with DWER license conditions and regulatory requirements.
• Identify system improvements and implement procedural changes.
• Manage environmental reporting, data analysis and regulatory submissions.
• Support capital planning and budget adherence while promoting sustainability.
• Champion HSE culture and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the Opportunity:

As our Environmental Advisor, you will be the go-to expert for all things environmental at Harvey Fresh. You will ensure our site meets licence and legal requirements, with a strong focus on wastewater treatment operations. Reporting to the Health, Safety & Environment Manager, you will supervise two WWTP Operators and work closely with internal teams, regulators, and community stakeholders.
